Thank you for changing your world

During the first week of July in 2008, over 8,000 of you swapped a car trip and walked, cycled, used public transport or car-shared instead. A huge thank you for playing your part to reduce car traffic and create a world with quieter roads, cleaner air and more space for everyone to enjoy.

We’ll now be letting Gordon Brown know how many of you joined in and will be calling on the Government to make sustainable transport a higher priority so people can choose more often to travel in ways that benefit their health and the environment.

Change Your World returns from 29 June-4 July 2009. We hope you’ll be part of it and, of course, if you enjoyed making your swap, don’t feel you have to wait until then to do it again. Give it another go now and continue to enjoy the benefits of healthier travel.
